Phylogeny represent an evolution history of a group of organisms, it can be interpreted as taxonomy and classification [1]. By comparing amino acid sequence obtained during the Homolog identification process, analysis tool such as MEGA11, could generate an evolutionary tree. The graphs listed below are generated using MEGA11 software. The two alignment method: ClustalW and MUSCLE program, could generate evolutionary trees based on ancestry relatedness. Both of them have maximum likelihood and neighbor joining alignment values. All four graphs are generated with bootstrapping method with 500 attemps.
opa1 phylogeny
Clustal - Maximum likelihood alignment
Muscle - Maximum likelihood alignment
Clustal - Neighbor joining alignment
Muscle - Neighbor joining alignment
Discussion
The four alignment methods has generated four different graphs, all showing the ancestry relatedness between species. Due to the difference in alignment values, the taxa and taxon displays minor changes. As shown in the four graphs, human (Homo sapiens) and zebrafish (Danio rerio) are closely related.
